February 14 – 16, 2014
Toronto’s Winterfolk Blues and Roots festival returns to the vibrant cultural strip on the Danforth after two years of hotel life. We’re back with the unique club crawl version of the fest to take advantage of the charm and character that the Danforth club and restaurant scene can provide and festival-goers are already familiar with the great vibe that was established there in previous years.
The Black Swan, Terry O’s, The Globe and Dora Keogh will once again host The Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival.
Winterfolk is a combination of paid and free stages, all-ages, mid-winter, weatherproof, urban blues and roots festival that emulates multi-stage rural summer festivals.
Featured performers include Ron Hynes, Lynn Miles, Swamperella, Jack DeKeyzer, Mean Mary, and Tony Quarrington alongside special tributes, an award ceremony, community stages and workshops.
More than 150 artists will be performing on 5 stages for 3 days. The fest will also include special tribute events, an awards ceremony, community stages and various themed workshops with something for everyone to enjoy.
Note - Prepaid tickets offer admittance to all Winterfolk stages except 'Honouring Our Own' presenting Tony Quarrington, which is offered on a separate ticket. Day passes are sold at the door only, if available. No advance sales of single day passes.
